At Codrlabs Solutions Ltd. ("we," "our," or "us"), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our digital products — SpeakshApp, Maestronom — and our website (codrlabs.com).
1Information We Collect#
Personal Information You Provide
- Account Information: Name, email address, and profile photo (via Google Sign-In).
- Feedback and Support (Apps): Name, email address, account details, device information, and the content of your message when you submit feedback through our apps.
- Contact Forms (Website): Name, email address, phone number (if requesting a callback), timezone, subject, and message when you submit a form on our website.
- Newsletter Subscription (Website): Email address when you subscribe to our newsletter.
- Purchase Information: Subscription or purchase status managed through Google Play.
Information We Automatically Collect
- Usage Data: Learning progress and spaced repetition data (SpeakshApp), practice session history (Maestronom). This data is stored to enable cross-device synchronization and prevent data loss.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version.
- Technical Data: IP address, crash reports, and performance metrics.
Audio Recordings
Both apps may access your device's microphone with your permission:
- SpeakshApp: Records audio for pronunciation practice. Recordings are stored on your device only and are never uploaded.
- Maestronom: Records audio through its Muse Box feature. Recordings are stored on your device and are only uploaded if you choose to back them up to Google Drive.
AI Conversations (SpeakshApp Only)
Conversations with Speekee, our on-device AI tutor, are processed entirely on your device. We never see, collect, or transmit your AI conversations.
2How We Use Your Information#
- Provide Services: Deliver app functionality, authenticate your account, and sync your progress.
- Personalization: Adapt learning algorithms to your progress and preferences.
- Account Management: Manage your subscription or purchase status and verify age where required.
- Support: Respond to your feedback and provide customer service.
- Fair Usage: Monitor usage to prevent abuse and maintain service quality.
- Advertising: Serve optional rewarded ads to SpeakshApp free-tier users (see Section 5).
3Information Sharing and Disclosure#
Third-Party Services We Use
- Google Firebase: Authentication, cloud database, push notifications, and server-side functions. Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Services: Purchase and subscription management, age verification in applicable jurisdictions.
- Google AdMob (SpeakshApp only): Rewarded advertisements for free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data. Google Ads Privacy.
- Google Drive (Maestronom only): Optional, user-initiated backup of practice history and audio recordings.
- Email delivery service: Feedback submitted through our apps and contact forms submitted on our website are delivered to our team via a third-party email provider. Your name, email, and message content are included.
- Google reCAPTCHA v3 (Website only): Our website contact forms use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam and abuse. reCAPTCHA may collect IP address, browser and device information, and interaction data. Google reCAPTCHA Privacy.
- Brevo (Website only): Our newsletter is managed by Brevo (Sendinblue). When you subscribe, your email address is shared with Brevo for subscription management and delivery of confirmation and campaign emails. Brevo Privacy Policy.
- Netlify: Our website is hosted on Netlify. Netlify processes web traffic and may collect IP addresses and request metadata. Netlify Privacy Policy.
- Sanity CMS: Website content and images are served via Sanity's CDN (
cdn.sanity.io).
We Do Not
- Sell your personal information to third parties.
- Share your learning or practice data for advertising purposes.
- Access your AI conversations — they exist only on your device.
- Access your audio recordings. When you back them up to Google Drive (Maestronom only), Maestronom acts as a tool to manage your files — we have no access to your Google Drive content.
4Advertising (SpeakshApp Only)#
- We want SpeakshApp to be accessible to everyone. To sustain this while keeping core features free, SpeakshApp displays optional rewarded advertisements to free-tier users through Google AdMob. You choose to watch them in exchange for additional daily words.
AdMob may collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data. This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads). This does not remove ads — it prevents Google from using your data to personalize them.
Maestronom does not contain advertisements.
5Data Storage and Security#
- Your data is stored using a combination of cloud services and local device storage:
- Cloud: Account information, purchase status, and learning or practice progress are stored using Google Firebase infrastructure.
- Local: Preferences, cached data, audio recordings, and AI model files are stored on your device.
- Google Drive (Maestronom, optional): Practice history and audio recordings, only if you enable backups.
Security measures:
- All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted.
- We use enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with access controls and security rules.
- Access to personal data within our organization is limited on a need-to-know basis.
6Data Retention#
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active. Inactive free-tier accounts may be deleted after a prolonged period of inactivity.
- Learning/Practice Data: Stored to maintain your progress. If your SpeakshApp subscription is cancelled or expires, learning data associated with Pro features may be cleared upon downgrade.
- Audio Recordings: Stored on your device until you delete them. Google Drive backups remain in your Drive until you remove them.
- Deletion: You can delete your data at any time through the app settings (see Section 8).
7Your Rights#
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Your profile information (name, email, photo) comes from Google Sign-In. To update it, update your Google account. For other corrections, contact us.
- Deletion: In SpeakshApp, you can delete your learning data through the app settings. Maestronom does not currently offer in-app data or account deletion. To delete your account or request data deletion for Maestronom, contact us at
legal@codrlabs.com. - Portability: Request a copy of your data by contacting us.
- Withdraw Consent: Stop using our Services at any time.
- Ad Personalization: You can disable personalized ads through your device's Google settings. This does not remove ads from SpeakshApp — it only affects whether ads are tailored to you.
- Revoke Google Drive Access: Remove Maestronom's access to your Google Drive through your Google Account permissions.

8Children's Privacy#
Our Products are designed for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Users between 13 and 17 should have parental or guardian consent. In certain jurisdictions, age verification may be required before purchases.
If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly. If you believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at legal@codrlabs.com.
9International Data Transfers#
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including Canada and the United States, where our cloud infrastructure and service providers are located. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
11Regional Privacy Rights#
Canadian Residents
Under PIPEDA and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), you have the right to access, correct, and withdraw consent for your personal information. For privacy inquiries, contact us at legal@codrlabs.com.
European Union Residents
Under GDPR, you have additional rights including the right to object to processing, restrict processing, data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California Residents
Under CCPA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
Other Jurisdictions

12Changes to This Privacy Policy#
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes that significantly affect your rights, we will provide reasonable advance notice by posting the updated policy on our website and sending notifications through our apps. Minor updates may take effect immediately upon posting.
